Discovery Museum highlights Einstein Telescope on its anniversary tour
Gravity and the Einstein Telescope. These are two key ingredients of the roadshow with which Discovery Museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary in seven cities in the coming weeks.
The Discovery Bus tours the last weekend of June and the first weekend of July with science shows, experiments, workshops and so-called ‘silent lectures’ through (Dutch) Limburg. Staging points are Kerkrade, Maastricht, Heerlen, Sittard, Roermond and Venlo. Its German neighbours in Aachen are also celebrating the anniversary. In addition, in a number of cities, including Weert, Discovery Museum lets visitors discover the world around them using 3D street drawings.
For 25 years, Discovery Museum in Kerkrade has been showing its visitors the impact of science and technology on our daily lives. This includes a strong focus on gravity and the Einstein Telescope. Both topics are the focus of ‘silent lectures’ during the roadshow.
The interactive experience museum started showing the industrial history of the (Dutch) province of Limburg a quarter of a century ago. Over the past 25 years, some 2 million visitors have managed to find their way to the museum.
