Einstein Telescope for business

Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands are jointly preparing to host Einstein Telescope in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. There are projects and programmes set up for companies to encourage innovation and accelerate the development of new technologies.

Join our ecosystem

The Einstein Telescope will be Europe’s most advanced observatory for gravitational waves. A large group of European research institutes, companies and governments are working together on this project. We invite companies to participate in our ecosystem. Contact us for:

  • Guidance to tenders and collaborative R&D projects.
  • Support technology exploitation in new markets.
  • Networking events.

Key technologies for Einstein Telescope

The future / next-generation gravitational wave observatory is an innovative scientific instrument that expands the boundaries of current technologies. Many of the innovations needed will build on research already conducted at LIGO (United States), VIRGO (Italy), KAGRA (Japan) and other similar facilities. For the construction of the Einstein Telescope (in particular the instrumentation), technology domains have been defined that will be further developed through research and innovation.
