Workshop V2: Cross Border Strategic Collaboration in Valorization

Einstein Telescope EMR Forum

The second table in the fifth breakout session focused on strategic and international cooperation in valorization. The central question was: “How do we successfully come to a joint valorization strategy with different countries?”

“Substantial support for trilateral cooperation”

A lively discussion on the six questions posed during the workshop, provided numerous ideas for the valorization strategy and for the Einstein Telescope project as a whole. There was substantial support for trilateral cooperation, involving various stakeholders such as politicians, industry representatives, scientists, the general public, and young people.

The workshop highlighted the importance of avoiding a lack of cooperation in all aspects to ensure project success. Participants suggested engaging science fiction writers to tell the story and creating podcasts or TV series to engage audiences. Valorization should be an integral part of a broader industrial policy, including intellectual property and procurement considerations.
Additionally, valorization should contribute to regional development and be communicated to a broader audience beyond industry. Political commitment was emphasized across all aspects of the project, with suggestions to invite the Prime Ministers of the three-border region to the Dreiländereck and publicly declare their support for the Einstein Telescope.
