Nerdland Festival – Wachtbeke

The Einstein Telescope will be present at Belgium’s largest open-air science festival: Nerdland Festival! For four days, Wachtebeke will be all about wonder, science and fun for young and old.

Visitors to our stand can discover exactly what the Einstein Telescope is: a future underground telescope that will detect gravitational waves — tiny ripples in space-time caused by collisions between black holes and neutron stars.

We will explain why this unique project is planned in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, what it involves, and why international cooperation is essential. Come along, ask questions, and let yourself be carried away by the universe!
