During this second ET Industry Webinar, we will take you on a journey through the state-of-the-art R&D infrastructures being developed to tackle the major technological challenges of the Einstein Telescope.
Stan Bentvelsen, Chief Science Officer at the ET EMR Project Office, will provide an update on the latest scientific and technological challenges and explain how industry can play a crucial role in addressing them.
Romaine Kunst, Thermal Systems Engineer at DEMCON kryoz and project leader of the consortium developing vibration-free cooling technologies for ETpathfinder – and ultimately for the Einstein Telescope – will show how industry is already contributing to facilities such as ETpathfinder in Maastricht and ETCRISTAL in Liège.
Pieter Lerou, Managing Director at DEMCON kryoz, will then provide insight into the strategic motives behind DEMCON’s participation in these high-tech consortia and how the company is already benefiting from this.
Finally, Sam Jordens (POM Limburg) will bridge the gap between scientific challenges and industrial solutions. He will also introduce the ETpathfinder Smart Skills Lab and explain how it can support SMEs in engaging and preparing their staff for the opportunities offered by the Einstein Telescope.
