Big Science Business Forum Maastricht

From 27 to 30 October 2026, the fourth edition of the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) will take place at MECC Maastricht in the Netherlands. This international congress brings together European research infrastructures and high-tech industry to discuss technological innovation, industrial collaboration and future procurement opportunities. The programme covers topics including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, cryogenic technology, superconducting magnets, precision mechanics, RF systems, engineering, software, Big Data and electronics.

More than 1,200 participants from over 30 countries are expected, including representatives of major European research organisations such as CERN, ESA, ESO, ESS, European XFEL, FAIR, Fusion for Energy, ILL and SKAO. The event offers opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and collaboration between research infrastructures, suppliers and innovative companies. On Friday, 30 October, participants can also join a visit to the ET Pathfinder facility in Maastricht.
