Tech Safari: Future & Space

During the Tech Safari in Hasselt (Belgium) on 22 October, participants will visit various technology and innovation sites in Hasselt, Genk and Sint-Truiden. Topics will include the Einstein Telescope, quantum sensors, sustainable steel production, drones and aviation technology.

The day begins at Corda Campus with a presentation on the Einstein Telescope by Gerjan van de Walle, Director of Commercialisation & Business Development at ET-Vlaanderen. This will be followed by a company visit to Aperam Genk, lunch at UHasselt and a visit to DronePort. On returning to Corda Campus, there will be an opportunity to visit the Einstein Telescope Expo.

The Oscar-Qube will also be featured, showcasing research into quantum sensors for measuring the Earth’s magnetic field from space.

Evening programme

This will be followed at 6.00 pm at Corda Campus by a Tech Talk with astronaut Frank De Winne. Separate registration is required for this event.
